Until your healthcare is shit, your public transport hasnt advanced since 2003, your roads seems like they've been pulled straight outta mad max and your education system is garbage even after 33 trillion tax increases and another 45 gorillion new taxes are created

Fando Paparoa

Eh, no. For most people actually paying taxes, its getting a much smaller amount of what you paid in taxes back in the form of expensive stuff. For the other group, yeah. It's free stuff.

Lonnie Heath

God the OP is so naive

Ryan Jay

Then why not keep 100% of your money and only buy what you want? Get rid of taxes all together so people only fund the programs they really want.

Pamela Michelle Peavy

There's 2 types of Rightists: "universal healthcare isn't free. my taxes go to that!" "universal healthcare? you liberals need to stop asking for free stuff"

Jo Jenssen

How about no subsidies at all?

Les Davis

And if you don't pay taxes? If you are one of the people that has say 11 children and gets "democratic aid" to raise them, what then? How does this sound for a tax system? We have taxes that are solid ie you can't change those for things like healthcare, police, military etc. However the welfare taxes are optional in other words I can choose whether I give that money up in welfare. Rather than the government forcing me to pay them.

Peter Patino

Sure, everytime people tell me UHC will work I ask them to explain how well and long it would take to get care from the VA

Erica Brehm

A fraction of what you paid in Looking at pensions in european countries you consider yourself happy if you receive half of what you paid in once you are old enough, generally this post quintessential message is wrong You do not pay for something with your taxes and then get it, you pay taxes, which are used for social programs from which you might get something back, if you aren't unemployed you will not get money from that program back which is financed by your taxes and even if you don't pay in you can still receive benefits from it, despite not "paying" for it

Ella Baesso

I don’t like subsidies because i don’t trust the government to know which corporations need more money better than the consumer

Tabieros Serrano Hanny

Here's an idea OP. How about instead of War and Corporate Subsidies I just get a fucking refund instead of that money going to pay for leftist indoctrination camps and welfare checks for lazy good for nothing pricks like you?

Sam Holder

Last few presidents pushed, started and funded many wars. No issue on that. Trump has yet to start a war, an has made progress in ending wars that past presidents have started and yet op thinks its trumps fault for starting wars? Also, who was it that gave big banks, wall street, and major corporations billions of our taxes because they all were doing bad business? It's as if Obama didnt exist to these idiots. But yet orange man bad because my tv says so and because i cant thin for myself right lefties?

Oshi Amarasinghe

Do those who did not contribute benefit from democratic socialism? If yes, then look at what they're benefiting from (in what form). If it's medical care, then you can expect that medication and hospitals are subsidized. If it's food, then the food industries are subsidized. If it's shelters, then shelters are subsidized. It doesn't have to be in the shape of a corporation. If the answer was no, then why take money at all?

Serge Nekipelov

Why are people still defending and supporting democratic socialism? That concept was proven to be an oxymoron in the post-war, 20th century thanks to the book by Hayek: „The Road to Serfdom”. If somebody prefers a larger welfer state with a left-wing tilt, what’s wrong with calling yourself a social democrat and supporting social policies in a capitalist system? Why that unholy abomination which is democratic socialism?

Cris Sangster

If taxes were good, people would voluntarily pay them...

Wanda Cantero

Good, then you won't mind me keeping my taxes and paying my own bills.

Janet Beattie

Food for thought. However, the democratic socialist countries have relied on US security which allowed them to spend less on defense.

Cho Pyone

Then why do they keep saying "free"?

Ayesha Ashraf

Put the adjective you want, democratic socialism is still socialism.

It already reached the US. When is the nuke?

It already reached the US. When is the nuke? memes 72 Likes 2 Comments Angel Dimitrov Bettyk Miller I found the plot hole! It all makes sense now! The corona virus and WW3 they are linked! You see the virus will evolve and it will cause a plague! Then after reaching rich and powerful countries and starts threatening them they will use nukes to the more infected countries in order to exterminate the virus! The allies of the nuked countries will reply by sending more nukes. Creating a domino effect and starting WW3! ...
